One of FC Group's cycling prodigy wins the Greater Accra end of Month Race

FC Group is very proud of Maxwell Doku, one of the youth the MD is currently mentoring and sponsoring, who came first at a recent criterium race. Maxwell is an avid and enthusiastic cyclist and so the MD is thrilled he came first at the recent Greater Accra Region end of month Race - a criterium road Race taking place at the National Stadium of Accra, Ghana.

According to Maxwell riders at the beginning of the race started striking early to create a clear breakaway and so Maxwell ensured he kept up with these and also striked when the speed reduced, and so in the middle of the race he brokeaway for the first, about 10km before the other riders caught up with him.

This gave Maxwell an opportunity to recover at the Peloton and after his recovery attacked again. By then he only had three laps left to finish and so he brokeaway again - the Peloton tried to catch up with him but he didn't give up and kept on pushing hard 'till he got to the finishing line and became first of the race. Maxwell's extra strength in these attacks have been from the additional high intensity interval training plan provided by Fenton and introduced before this race, which has made him much stronger in the Peloton.

Maxwell has been in other races in the past including the West Africa King of the Mountain Championship, where he came 6th, as well as the last Cowbell Race in Accra in September 2019, in which Fenton also took part.

He has represented Ghana in many regional and international cycling events including the 14th season of 2018 UCI AfricaTour in Burkina Faso which took place on the 15th September 2018 and Tour de Côte d'Ivoire, which held on the 9th-15 September 2018.

FC Group and MD, Fenton are extremely delighted with Maxwell's great effort and achievement in his recent race.
