Ghana’s handling of the Covid-19 pandemic, with the first two cases in Ghana confirmed on 12th March 2020, when two infected people came to Ghana from Norway and Turkey, has been remarkable. This has limited the number of death tolls and opened the economy with things slowly getting back to normal. Ghana became the first country in Africa to receive 600,000 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine in February this year.
This means FC Group can continue with the Maya Abou-Jaoude Memorial Library Project and Fenton looks forward to his next trip shortly to further advance the project. The library comprises a 100-seating capacity, furniture, bookshelves, a librarian’s office, and washroom. He was delighted to see an improvement in the structure during his last visit and will be lobbying partners and friends to help complete the project, during this trip.
INSPIRATION BEHIND PROJECT
This project is inspired by a twin’s zeal to build a new library project in fond memory of her sister, as part of their ongoing community projects managed by their founded Ghana Twins Foundation.
